As with most everything in this world, you are going to face some competition. This is true when it comes to your membership site as well.
Who will stand out and offer the best membership site to their members? Will it be you?
Potential members tend to gravitate toward the company that they find the most value in, the person they most relate to, integrity they most admire.
Is everyone seeing these values within your community?
There are steps that can be taken to get more eyes on your membership site and to engage your current members.
You can begin by engaging readers.

You can begin by engaging readers.
No one begins anything new like a pro. We all start off a bit shaky and unsure, but the more times we do a particular task, the better we get at it.
Here are those steps to help you stand out:
Hold A Tele-Summit… But Change It Up A Bit
Don’t do the standard one hour call.Instead, try holding calls that are no more than 15 or 20 minutes. These shortened calls will be concentrated and easily digested by your members. Hour long sessions can sometimes be intimidating while a quick 15 minute audio lesson might be better suited for some members.
The shortened format will also force the participants to get to the point quickly.
Conduct these calls at different times so more people in different time zones can join in live. Make sure to record the calls and offer the recordings to your members as well.
Post different topics for each week or even have very quick daily topics.

Give Them Something Very Valuable For FREE
People love free, and if it’s a great value – even betterWe get free stuff all the time. But how often would you say that it’s GOOD free stuff?
How many pens or water bottles do you have laying around from past events? Sure, it’s great to get this stuff (especially if you’re thirsty or need to write a note) but what we really remember is the “big ticket” free stuff.
Create a mentoring session or a one-on-one program to teach your members. Once a week, pick a different person to give this to. Make a big announcement of who won this week’s mentoring session and build anticipation for future give-aways.
You can also create a course that all your members get. Or build a plugin that you give to everyone.
Spending some time and money on these gifts will pay off.

Create A New Product AND Ask Your Members To Be Involved
Okay, a lot of people are writing eBooks, but they are not all asking their members to contribute and be involved in the project. You can include your members on several different levels.
Your members can have different roles that include project manager, a topics manager, contributing writers, graphic designers, and a host of others.
You’ll find that your members are very talented and willing to jump into the project.
This is a great benefit to those members who are just starting out. You can give them features and shout outs on your site and list their name and website in the projects contributors list within the book.

Create A Video Series
They can be focused on a preview of upcoming items or a summary of the past week.
Video blogs are very popular and people love them. It helps your members get to know you better. Be yourself and have fun while recording these videos. You likely enjoy videos that are fun and upbeat more than dry and drawn out videos. Well, your members do too :)
Keep that in mind when you are recording and your should see more views for your videos.

Create A “Tips” Series
No matter what field or niche you are in, you can always create a “Tips List”.They can be extremely helpful to your members.
Quick lists with tricks and tips often include a number of items a member may not know or hasn’t considered. This gets their imagination and creativity going and often results in even more ideas being shared.
A list of tips can also be used as teasers for non-members. Post an unprotected list of membership tips and direct anyone and everyone to it. Be sure to also include an option for all readers to sign up for your membership.
