Fun Internet Marketing Sites You Can Use

You may be aware of certain Social Media outlets like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter but I have
discovered some fun new ones that I would like to share.

Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter will certainly remain top dogs in getting the word out for quite a while, but there are a few others to check out as well.

These other available sites can help to enhance and improve your endeavors. Think of them as the “ketchup” to your french fries. While the fries are yummy and hearty, the ketchup adds an extra element to all that goodness!

In this article, I am focusing on Internet Marketing. It is one of my passions and can assist in gaining you a quick audience for your business or membership site.


I will discuss them in order of their popularity ranking on Alexa.

Digg
I love Digg. It is a fun and “active” site. It does not grow boring or dull. You can “digg” articles, news, videos, or images you like then watch them grow in interest.

I find it so much fun to submit an article, promote it, and then watch the number of “diggs” it gets. You can Digg about anything. Topics range from technology, world & business, science, gaming, lifestyle, entertainment, sports and the offbeat.

You can join Digg, create a profile, and then “connect” Digg with Facebook. There is a “Connect with Facebook” link box on the home page of Digg. Go out and “digg” other people’s stuff and make friends. This will grow your popularity and connections.

Write articles, digg it, and then share them on Facebook and Twitter. Always have a link from your website to your Digg article and ask for your members or viewers to “digg it”. This grows interest both in what you have written and in your business.

Metacafe
If you like videos and movies, this site is for you! Topics range from music videos, TV clips, movie trailers, video games, sports highlights to your very own channel.

You can register, create a profile, and participate in Metacafe’s community. Participate, edit, and improve video metadata at Wikicafe. The more you are involved, the more you are “seen” and that is great exposure.

Also, “Like” their Movie Trailer’s on Facebook. All their other fans will see you, especially if you make regular “appearances.”

Faves
This is a fantastic Social Bookmarking site. It showcases thins like news, videos and articles. Save all your favorite sites. Follow people and your favorite topics. Build a following of people who like the same sites.  It’s that easy.

Sphinn
Sphinn is kind of like Digg, but you get to “Sphinn it”! If your article, news story or business information gets hot it goes to the top. It may even be listed on the Home page! Sphinn also has great internet marketing news and discussion forums.

The topics include social media, link building, SEO, SEM, analytics and usability. When you post something on the site, a Facebook and Twitter icon are displayed to allow for sharing. Your picture, name and website are also shown with your submission.

PlugIM
Register here and then add the PlugIM Widget to your website. Share your insight, business knowledge, and passion. Then promote your work through PlugIM. As they say, “If it’s internet marketing related, plug it on PlugIM.”

Join their Community. Every time you come back to visit your name and picture will show for all to see.
